All CTVHC coaches, officials and volunteers will comply with and promote good ethical conduct and practice. In particular they shall:
- Arrive in plenty of time to set up activities and ensure safety.
 - Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person and treat everyone equally.
 - Place the performer’s well-being and safety before the development or performance.
 - Follow all guidelines laid down by England Hockey and CTVHC.
 - Develop an appropriate working relationship with performers based on mutual trust and respect.
 - Never exert undue influence to obtain personal benefit or reward.
 - Encourage and guide performers to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance.
 - Ensure the activities they direct are appropriate for the age, maturity, experience and ability of the individual.
 - Promote positive aspects of Hockey (e.g. sportsmanship) and never condone rule violations or the use of prohibited substances.
 - Set a good example by displaying high standards of appearance and behaviour.
 - Take responsibility for the young people in their care until they have left the activity safely.
 - Coaches must hold appropriate coaching qualifications and insurance cover.
