Child Players
Parents of child players must register themselves first as a Club Member and then their children as Club Players. The system sees the parent as a member as well as the child.
- The child member gets linked to the parent.
- Parents may be players themselves.
- There are different pieces of information required depending on the type of membership role.
- Both parents can be registered and their child and linked to them so that both parents can have access to the child’s record and match schedule.
- It is the parent who registers with an e-mail address and the child is linked to them. The child does not register with an e-mail address.
How to register a child
- Log into the Pitchero website on a computer or laptop (don’t use the phone app to do this)
- Click Login on the RHS of the screen then click on your name on the top RHS
- Click on Your Account
- Click on Membership Info
- Update the fields using the following guidelines:
- Click on any closed padlocks to unlock them so that the data can be seen by the club officials. This is especially important for your e-mail address and telephone number otherwise we can’t contact you.
- Emergency Contact: it is essential that we have at least one emergency contact number for all players whether they are adults or children.
- Scroll to the bottom to save changes
- Click on overview again, then your child's name alongside your own shown near the top middle of the page so their name is highlighted and yours is greyed out.
- Click on membership info and please fill out all the pieces of information for your child, remembering change of school, medical details, emergency contacts etc. Date of birth is essential for children to register with the correct age group so the padlock must be open.
- Safeguarding: For children enter the parent’s mobile number in the contact number field. Do not enter the child’s mobile number. We cannot hold any child mobile numbers or e-mail addresses on the system so please do not request your child to register using their e-mail address on Pitchero. The adult is the one who registers on the system and the child record is then linked to the parent.
- Photos: For adults you are encouraged to add a photo of yourself if you like, but no membership records should have any photos of children.
- Remember to save on each screen
- Repeat steps for all registered children by clicking overview at the top of the screen then moving on to the next child’s name
If you have any membership queries or you or your child no longer want to be registered with Chertsey Thames Valley Hockey Club, please contact the Colt's Chair, Lucy.
