On a wet and blustery Saturday afternoon ladies 2’s travelled into the depths of Reigate to face Reigate priory 4’s. After a wet warm up we were off, Reigate came fast and we were on the defence, there were a couple of chances for Reigate and one of them came off, we were down 1-0. We had some good play down the wings in the first half, good link of play between mids and forwards and we had a couple of chances just shy of the goal, also a short corner chance which went wide too. Just before the first half ended Reigate had a short, which Carmen got a bruise on her thigh defending, Reigate got another short, which also meant a matching bruise on the other thigh for Carmen. First half done. After a refuel on sweets and a good tactical talk we were off again, we came again with good link of play again but Reigate’s defence was a battle, literally at one point, which came with a few choice words between myself and a player in Reigate defence, Holly was on hand to calm me down though. Reigate were trying hard to get another but our defence stood strong and Sam made some amazing saves. Lou and Madison found a new hobby in waterskiing whilst playing too. The rain was relentless but so we were in and we never gave up, as always.
