A lovely autumnal morning we slogged over to Croydon for what was expected to be our toughest league game so far V Addiscombe 1s.

After an up beat warm up to Kat's amazing music we set up ready to go. The first 10 mins or so we were in their 25, a few shots on goal and an early short corner but sadly nothing resulted in a goal. We kept the pressure on, with forwards Lola, Harry, Mads & Em battling away and winning another short. We were missing super striker Lilly so Kat & Jade did their little duo and with Harry getting in the way which turned out to be a great dummy Jade found the back of the goal - 1-0 up phewie!! The rest of the first half was up & down, we had a few shorts against us which were clinically cleared by our defenders Naomi, Mon, Lottie, Jules & Helen - and Liz did some crucial kicks.

We went into half time 1-0 up and after an inspirational chat set up for the second half. We had the PB and made the most of it - straight into the D with a great run from Sienna who so very nearly scored. The play was up and down again and Addiscombe were putting more pressure on our goal, with Liz ending up on the floor and a massive kerfuffle they were awarded a short, sadly resulting in a goal putting us at 1-1.  We still had time to get the win but it was very tense, Kat ended up on the baseline and pinged the ball to Helen who was top D, took a shot on goal which was neatly finished off by Lola. With not long left we tried to remain calm/composed and massive relief when the final whistle blew.
